ComplEtE® website COOKIE POLICY

What are cookies?

A cookie is a simple text file that is stored on a user’s computer or mobile device by a website server, and can be read or retrieved by that server. They serve multiple purposes including making it easier to use the website, finding out how the site could be improved, keeping track of movements within the site, resuming navigation where it was interrupted, performing automatic authentication, remembering preferences set, storing the contents of ‘shopping carts’ in case of online purchases.

If you want to be notified when you receive cookies or do not want to receive them, you must customize the configuration of your browser accordingly. You can also use your browser to delete cookies that have been previously stored.
Cookies can be of various types, depending on the type of data they store and how long they remain stored on the user’s device.

Session or temporary cookies are those that expire or are deleted when the browser is closed, while persistent cookies have longer expiry dates (from a few minutes to months) depending on the functions they perform. It is precisely these functions that distinguish cookies into two categories: technical and non-technical (or profiling).

Technical cookies manage the data necessary to deliver the pages and facilitate navigation, allowing, for example, not having to re-enter your user name and password to access particular services, to remember the last page visited or how far you have watched a video, to recognize the type of device in use and adapt the size of images accordingly. Technical cookies also allow aggregate statistical analysis of the most visited pages and user preferences, but only in anonymous form, and are not used to analyze the behavior or preferences of individual users.

Profiling cookies, on the other hand, are used to analyse the interests and browsing habits of individual users, to personalise their browsing and to deliver, for example, content, including advertising, targeted at particular interests.

The cookies used by this site of technical type that do not require user consent

This website uses technical cookies which are strictly necessary for the functioning of the site and the provision of the service, as well as technical cookies related to saving preferences and optimizing the site.

Specifically, technical cookies are used which are necessary for the functioning of javascript, technical session cookies which allow the site to link the user’s actions during a browser session (e.g. passing from one page to another) allowing faster navigation, as well as technical cookies relating to registration in the reserved area. All technical cookies do not require consent, so they are installed automatically after access to the site.

Cookies do not record any personal information about a user and any identifiable data will not be stored. If you wish to disable the use of cookies, you must customize your browser settings, either by setting all cookies to be deleted or by activating a warning message when cookies are stored.
